Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo 64 is a lot of things. Crude. Violent. Hilarious. And indisputably one of the greatest games ever made. Conker was Rare’s swan song, a compilation of everything they’d learned from making a half decade worth of masterpieces. Conker combined the shooting mechanics of Goldeneye, the third person action of Jet Force Gemini, and the colorful platforming gameplay of Banjo-Kazooie, to create something wonderfully twisted. Just beneath it’s cutesy appearance, Conker was a depraved game. It starred a binge- drinking squirrel, who urinated on enemies, messily blasted heads to bits with with a shotgun, and battled enormous, opera singing, mounds of poo. This sort of madness made Conker one of the most deranged, rude, and downright hilarious games ever made. Filled with over 2 hours of profanity-filled audio, some of most gorgeous graphics ever featured on the N64, support for full Dolby Surround sound, a robust set of multiplayer games, and more hilarious movie references than you can count, Conker packed its entire 64-bit cartridge with awesome content.
