As a launch title, Excite Bike has been with the Nintendo since they first flew out of the gate in ‘85! This game of nonstop motocross action remains easy to learn, challenging to master, and impossible to put down. It allows you do wheelies, insane jumps, and even ram any rival bikers off the road and out of the running. In this race, the gloves were off if you wanted to become the new champion of the track. But what made Excitebike a true gem was its Design Mode. This was one of the earliest level editors in gaming history. Excite Bike allowed you to create your own awesome racing track, filled with the all the thrilling ramps, speedways, and pitfalls your heart could stand! Innovative, fun, a little ruthless, and a years ahead of its time, Excitebike is a game that put the NES on the map and helped it bring home the gold.
